Historic Building into a Cultural Heritage

Jakarta  an old city that has been ages 489 years (1527 - 2016)

Jakarta has many old and historic buildings that became cultural
heritage,and protected by local goverment ( DKI Jakarta )

There are several historic building and
old buildings/old architecture in central Jakarta,
that I see and visit, not far from where I live,
And at this time has became cultural heritage.

In adolescence I've been interested in architecture and old buildings,
But for some reason,and I ended up choosing the Interior design.

This is probably what makes me feel compelled to write about the historic building and old buildings/old architecture.

CINEMA METROPOLE XXI / METROPOLE XXI BUILDING

This building was declared a cultural heritage building class A.
Protected and should not be dismantled
by the Governor of Jakarta in 1993.

HISTORY
The building was start built in 1932,
The building that stands on an area of 11.623 m

Which at that time was named Bioscoop Metropool cinema,
according to the spelling of Dutch language at that time.

Built right corner between Pegangsaan
and Diponegoro street which is located in central Jakarta.

Inaugurated in 1949 by vice President Mohammad Hatta,
The name was changed to Cinema theater Megaria

In 1951 became the first cinema in Jakarta
Cinema Megaria theater has very large theater
which can accommodate about 1000 spectators,
including seats on the balcony.

In 1984 it became Megaria Cineplex,
Remodeled / renovations interior with cineplex concept
of dividing the building into several studio theater 1-4.
The capacity of one studio /theater only for 170 spectator.

In the year  2008 -2013 renovate
and several times changed its name

In 2014 until now the building was named
Cinema Metropole XXI

ARCHITECTURE
This building designed by Liauw Goan Seng
Indonesian  of descent chinese.

The Building was designed Art deco architecture.

Art deco architecture more simpler as part of the development
of art Nouveau architecture put more emphasis on detail.

Art deco style architecture have the geometric shapes,
clear and precise lines
and decorations are attached to the structure
is offen in the form of metal,
on the building is generally rectangle and a straight angle
or rounded corner.

Cinema Metropole XXI Building.
This the only one large building with Art deco Architecture
remaining in Jakarta.

Some renovations and development of the building has been done
but did not eliminate its original architecture style ,
and looks more neat and well maintained.

In this areas stand three buildings,
Main Building cinema metropole XXI into cultural heritage
and two buildings behind the main building.

At this time Cinema Metropole XXI Building.
In the main part of the building  there are studio cinemas1-4

On the outside of the main building  equipped with a coffee shop
and on 2nd floor there is Restaurant.

The building on the right side into the Cinema Premiere or studio 5-6
and building on the left side of Gallery ATM,
and show room /Exhibition venues

Detail /Structure
Art deco style architecture has special characteristics
that rectangle and the rounded edge.

The Color from Nature , we find it and use it

In this article I'm not discuss about the history of color
and color theory .
Just a little about the theory of colors mixing.

We all know,we can find so many colors
from nature maintly plants /flowers etc.

The humans need colors for their use,
to coloring textiles etc,colors of paint,
and coloring food etc
therefore humans created a variety of colors,
from bright colors , soft colors and dark colors.

How do humans create or to get colors.
There are some ways or existing  theories.

The Basic color/
There are three primary colors : Red , Blue , yellow

Additional color/complementry  there are two:
Black  (made into a dark base color)
White (made into a light base color)

Gradation color is change of one color to another,
by adding  black to get of  darker colors
or white to get of the color light

Gradation color could happen with a change over
of two different colors,
Will very much get colors

There are mixe two color level
Mix 1 ( secondary mixing two primary colors)
Green (Yellow + Blue)Orange (Yellow +Red)
Purple ( Blue + Red)
Mix 2 ( Tertier mixing of secondary color
with primary colors )

The usual way to get the colors ,
Then fallowed by many people
especially those working in the field of Visual arts

In 2013 I had free time , I could do photograpy
and it was just a hobby i'm doing with mobile phone ,
( I feel a bit complicated and troublesome with camera )
I was little more focused on the flowers and plants
I found so many colors in flowers and plants

And than , I began looking for colors that are created
and used by humans
I started to photograph that was around me
especially the colors a human creation.

the colors derived from nature and colors created by humans

About Me

Writing is not my hobby ☺
And this maybe most difficult for me to do

I can't construct words with on a regulers basic
in accordance with the grammer
But so many who are in my mind,
and I would like to convey

Therefore  I will try to write ,with my simple language,
and grammer is not good

And I hope that can be understood by reading,
And can be useful  ☺
